  • 1.  CA Service Desk MDB Upgrade Fails

    In our current test environment we have CA Service Desk 11.2 on Windows Server 2003 and SQL 2005. We are trying to upgrade the MDB with CA SDM 14.1 installation ISO. 

    The upgrade fails with MDBTools error = 3.

    Have attached the required files. If anyone could help us identify the issue that would be great as we are stuck on this issue for a long time.

    Hi Mahesh,

     

    Could you confirm the procedure that you followed to migrated your existing CA Service Desk 11.2 on Windows Server? Could you confirm the new DB version that you choose to upgrade to 14.1 SDM application? 

     

    Correct me if I am wrong, I suspect that you have not upgraded you DB version from 2003 and 2005. SDM 14.1 Supports only 2008 to 2014. Below is the supportability matric that could help you in planning your upgraded.

     

    Please go through the pre-requisites before installing the application for the hardware requirements.
