  • 1.  Tooltip on ticket fields

    Is it possible to display tooltip on ticket fields?

    If not, any other way to give instructions to users about the fields (other than including the text in brackets next to the field name)?

    According to these articles, it cannot be done at least for the past versions.

    How about 12.0 or 17.1? Is the tool tip feature available for fields like the text field?

    Hi Chirag,

     

    I just tested this out in 17.1 and the same still holds true, it is only possible to update tool-tips for Command buttons. 

     

    In order to get this to work for other screen elements it would require some custom code that sets the "title" HTML element to the desired text.
