    Good Afternoon Aamir Khan.

    Google Search is not Working
For using Google Search API, Search Key and Search Engine ID is required.
You can create it using the Google Developer Account.
    Follow these steps:
1 Log into the Google Developer Account.
2 Navigate to Settings, Data Sources, Google and obtain the Google Search Key and Search Engine ID.
3 Navigate to the following folder and edit the file: <US4SM>\OSOP\portal-ext.properties.
4 Search for the following content: aquila.search.useProxyForGoogle
5 Add the following content: aquila.search.googleBaseUrlPart=https://www.googleapis.com/customsearch/v1?
6 Save and close the file.
7 Restart the CA Unified Self Service services.
8 Verify that Google search is enabled.

    Kind regards, Louis.

step 5 content is already in my portal ext file.  If you can provide me exact Search Engine ID and Google Search Key would be helpful for me.

    Hey Aamir,

Basically, this is an account that you could get from Google (for testing purposes) which has some restrictions (like 10 searches per day or something like that).  Once the tests are successful, I believe you would request a formal/permanent/paid type of account from Google.

You can get (create) a Custom Search Engine from Google - by accessing: https://cse.google.com/cse/create/new

    - create a custom search engine
    - in the Basics tab -> Details -> Search engine ID button reveals the Search Engine ID value

    Note: its of format: 1234213123231232:abcdef1234

Next step is to get a google API key. To get a search API key go to: https://developers.google.com/custom-search/json-api/v1/overview

    - get a key, normally you get prompted for a project name followed by enabling a key that you copy/paste.
    (see what projects/APIs you have: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/dashboard )

Note: APIKey is of format: abcd1234xyz1234def

    Hope this helps

    _R

    Good Afternoon Aamir Khan.

When you ask for the 'exact Search Engine ID and Google Search Key', I have to say that I can not give that to you.

    Sorry for this.

Perhaps someone else in this community can?

Thanks in advance for your understanding and kind regards, Louis.

    Nice thinking Brian...

@La-Qa  - as Louis and Brian advised, we cannot provide you with the exact key there, but the document that Brian provided can help you find it

Let us know if that works.

    Thanks,
    Jon I.
