    Hi all,

starting with ITCM - ITAM - CCA... is it possible to map also protocols and ports link betweek CIs in the CMDB?

If yes, how to achieve this goal?

    Thanks

    Massimo,

I'm not completely sure I understand the question. Can you provide some more details on what type of mapping you are referring to? Are you attempting to import CIs from these sources into CMDB, and trying to correlate them in some way? Please let us know.

    Hi Alex,

the goal could be having on CMDB, beyond the standard relationship types (is approved by, connects to, etc...), also the protocols and/or ports used for CIs correlation (eg connects to...tcp port 1433).

    Thank you

Within CMDB itself you could, of course, have a CI for each piece of a hardware, and a separate CI for each port or protocol, and they can have relationships. I don't believe, though, that that the applications you mentioned (outside of CCA, which I believe will create a CI for the IP address, and create a relationship to the hardware CI) will generate a separate CI for each IP address or protocol.
