  • 1.  'To' field limitation in scheduling dynamic publication in infoview.

    We are working with BOXI 3.1 . While scheduling a publication in infoview with dynamic receipients , if we remove the email id paceholder from the 'to' field and replace it with the email ids(seperated by semicolon) , the to field in the received email gets cutoff . So , even if 30 receipients receive the publication , only the starting 12 email ids are displayed in the 'to' field in the received email . How can we resolve this issue ? kindly help.

    What Service Pack level is your CABI 3.1 install at?

     

    You can confirm this under the SETTINGS section within the Central Management Console (CMC).

    Hi Paul,

     

    Our product version is 12.3.0.601 so according SAP Business Objects XI 3.1 SP3 (CABI3.2) , our service pack level is SP3.

    You are behind a couple of CABI 3.x service packs.

     

    I would recommend upgrading to the latest CABI 3.x SP7 release.  As always, test this in a non-PROD environment first:

     

    Here are the steps to follow:


    1. Take a backup/snapshot of the CABI server and the CABI CMS database
    2. Follow TEC566603 to apply CABI SP5 (https://comm.support.ca.com/?legacyid=TEC566603)
    3. Take a backup/snapshot of the CABI server and the CABI CMS database
    4. Follow TEC61163 to apply CABI SP7 (http://www.ca.com/us/support/ca-support-online/product-content/knowledgebase-articles/tec611630.aspx)

    Did you have a chance to apply the latest CABI service packs and see if the issue still persists?

    Due to some limitations , we cannot upgrade the CABI currently . Also , the receipient limitation is a problem only when we schedule a publication . It is working fine when we schedule reports.
