I'm trying to propagate from Service Catalog to SDM some attributes that in SDM are properties of a specific category.
SDM category: pcat:5103
SDM cat property: prop0
SC attribute: ca_sdm_attr_prop0 -> does not work out
SC requests are propagated to SDM using "com.ca.usm.ruleEngine.action.sdm.CreateIncidentAction".

Fortunately I don't need to create Request Area properties automatically, I have only to populate them from Service Catalog.
Maybe I found a solution, but I have to test it: to propagate a SC field to SDM Request Area property the field name in Catalog should be "ca_sdm_prop_0".

You are correct, the _id of the Catalog form field needs to be in the following format:
ca_sdm_prop_<sequence number of the associated property in SDM>
