Facing issue during CA Service desk Installation. during installation its displaying error message "creation CDP failed" .
Before installation we did:-
1. We installed SQL 2012 and successfully restored full backup of SQL 2005 .
and restored database contains "mdb" Database name ,and Login "sa" and ServiceDesk.
After that CA SDM14.1 or 17.0 installation, Installation struck by giving error "creation CDP failed" .
How we can solve this error message or load PDM fullbackup in CASDM 14.1or 17.0
If I am not wrong you are referring to "creation CDB failed" , for this can you check the install_mdb.log this should give us some hint where it is getting failed.

Could you please confirm if this is a Fresh installation of SDM or your installing fresh SDM on existing database.

its fresh installation and loading database of 11.2 .
Just to confirm - you are installing a fresh copy of SDM 11.2 with copied SDM 11.2 MDB from another environment?
as mentioned in another post response by John you can't run this path and you need to first upgrade to 11.2.
