  • 1.  BOXI/WEBI shows question mark in a black diamond against lists

    Hello,

     

    Looking for some suggestions on the following BOXI/WEBI question in CA Service Desk Manager 12.9.

     

    When viewing a list of values, there is a black diamond with a question mark against all values.

    This is preventing sorting.

     

    Any suggestions?

     

    The following procedure has been tried without success:

    * Login to designer

    * Import the universe

    * Refresh structure from view

    * Export the universe

     

    Also editing an existing report and creating a new one.

     

    Windows 2008 R2.

     

    I see lots of issues about this against BOXI on the web, but not sure where to start in this instance.

    We had the same problem with CA SDM 14.1 and this helped: When using CA Business Intelligence (CABI) Reports, strange special/non-printable characters are seen in the Query filte…

    Hi Kyle,

     

    I have seen this problem before. I think it is caused by a discrepancy wrt the 32bit vs. 64bit ODBC. So look in that direction. Maybe uninstall and reinstrall the oa60_server and oa60_client services?

     

    You could also try to apply the latest SP applicable to your CABI version.

    Hey Brian,

     

    The issue is more about older version of the ODBC Server program (on the SDM server) vs newer, as opposed to 32b vs 64b.

     

    Reinstall approach suggested in the techdoc above by Vedran should fix the case.
