  • 1.  How can we change the CMDB Visualizer to display "Simple Name" instead of "CI Name"?

    Anyone know how to have the CMDB Visualizer tool display the "Simple Name" rather then the "CI Name"?  We use naming conventions for the CI Name that is acting as a stumbling block and would like to look into using the Simple Name data instead. 

     

    Any ideas?

    Unfortunately there is no way to do this without a customization in 14.1.  Has anyone else ever created a customization that would add this functionality to visualizer? 

     

    Additionally, you can create an Idea for people to vote on for this functionality to be included in a future version of Service Management.

    There is very little "customisation" that you can do in CMDB Visualizer.

     

    You can change some icons, but that's about it.

     

    As Martin says, an Idea would be best for this.
