What is the syntax for creating a attribute alias in SDM?

I'm trying to create an attribute alias for the cnt.department_name in the CR object class in SDM and when I put in department_name as the alias name and dept.name as the alias value, I get the message the alias value is not valid as shown in the screen print below.

 

 

What is wrong with the alias value?

Hi,

I think that error happens because cr object haven't dept attribute, try to declare it as requestor.dept.name if you're looking for Requestor's department.

I tried what you suggested but get the same error.

 

Here's what's in the derived universe for the object name:

Per Timur's previous suggest, if cr  object has

 

1. an attribute alias created called: requestor.dept.name     for requestor's department name,
2. an attribute alias name called   department_name

 

Then the universe should be pulling:     cr.department_name   for the requestor's  department name    not cnt.department_name

Sorry, it should be customer....     not requestor.   There are several other requestor attribute aliases similar to this one already in cr.
