CABI 3.3 Backup

Hello,

 

I want to export my custom content (reports..) from a 3.3 CABI to a 4.1 environment. In the CA documentation i see that the first step is to backup the universe and i saw that the extension of that file is .biar but when you import a universe and save it the extension of the file is .unv.

 

I'm following this documentation: Install CA Business Intelligence - CA Service Management - 14.1 - CA Technologies Documentation

 

 

Let me know what are the steps i need to follow.

Hi Jason,

 

The .UNV file is a specific universe and you might have multiple universes. If you export to BIAR file, it exports all the universes, reports, folders etc. You may refer below tech document for the steps to export BIAR file in 3.3 version:

In the destination screen, change it to BIAR file and continue with the remaining steps.
