  • 1.  Remove Webserver from ITAM 12.8

    Hi Team,

     

    I have a customer who wants to migrate from ITAM 12.8 to 14.1.

    At the moment he has a separated Webserver but after the migration he only wants one combined Application and Webserver.

    Is it necessary to remove the webserver before upgrading?

    I think it is not, as the upgrade is a complete uninstall and a new installation. But I am not sure if the webserver is is configured also somewhere in the database.

    Hi Markus,

    For 12.8, it is as you stated; uninstall and complete install. 12.8 uses CDB for configuration
    information - so it doesn't record anything in MDB

    You can start the upgrade on App Server or Web Server directly and install everything on same server.

    The Install wizard will guide you with the Uninstall options.
