Hello All,
A quick tip based Service Desk Manager 12.9 where "pdm_web.exe" on a secondary server tries to "Open" instead of "Run."
This is addressed by SDM 12.9 Cumulative Patch 1.
Specifically this patch:
--------------
PRODUCT: Unicenter Service Desk RELEASE: 12.9
PROB #: 2749 FN: T5W2150 FT: D33 DATE: 21 Feb 2014
STARTRAK PRODUCT NAME: USRD (Star Problem Product)
PROBLEM SYMPTOM: WIN-PDMWEB TRUNCATE TO ZERO BYTES ON SECONDARY SER
----------------------------------------------------
Whenever a reconfiguration (pdm_configure) of
Service Desk Manager is
performed within a 'conventional' Service Desk
Manager primary and secondary
configured environment, users may no longer be
able to access the Service
Desk Manager installation on the secondary
server. After a reconfiguration,
all subsequent restarts of Service Desk Manager
services on the primary
server will inadvertently copy the 'pdmweb' file
on primary to each secondary
server with ZERO bytes.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Login to Service Desk as an administrator.
2. Configure a 'domsrvr/webengine' pair on the
secondary server with
webengine 'Cgi Name' as 'pdmweb' under:
'Administration->System->Configuration'
3. Run pdm_configure on each server.
4. After configuration is completed, the 'pdmweb'
on secondary server
has a file size of zero bytes and this happens
every time the services
are recycled.
