  • 1.  Pop-Up notices on the top of the screen

    Posted Nov 03, 2014 11:35 AM

When a notice pops up on the top of the screen, such as for not filling out required fields on a form, can that background color be changed from Yellow to Red?  If so, is that a configuration change or a customization of the code?

This would definitely be a customization since there is no configuration parameter that defines this.

You could start by looking at the Service Desk styles sheets (i.e. analyst_styles.css, styles_ah.css)

Look at the 'requiredlabeltext' and 'requiredlookup' variables and provide the appropriate RGB #.

Copy the style sheet CSS files to the NX_ROOT\SITE\MODS folder and change to the color of your choice.

Since this is considered a customization, it is outside the scope of CA Support.

    Good luck!

    Paul,

Why would this modification not be supported?  There is a section 'Modify Stylesheets' in the Implementation Guide and there is no reference that this would not be supported assuming the modified files are placed in the appropriate ''\site\mods\www\wwwroot\css' folder.

If you mean Support will not assist in developing or debugging then I understand and the usual "You may have to remove these customizations to reproduce any issue".

    thanks,
