    Posted Nov 27, 2019 02:01 PM
    Hi guys,

I installed CA APM 10.5.2 on Site A and on remote office I installed on a Windows Server a .NET agent. The .NET agent its working and send information to CA APM on Site A. But now my client is asking me to give him which ports or protocols the .NET agent need to communicate to CA APM on Site A, this for security reasons.

I hop you can help me to  know wich ports the .NET agent needs in order to work well after apply ACL on Firewalls.

    Regards

    Jose

    Hello Jose,
you can use following URL to properly address this requirement:

    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/application-performance-management/10-7/installing/apm-installation/pre-installation-requirements/open-apm-ports.html

by default the agent connects using TCP port 5001 bidirectional.

    Regards,
    Harold

APM agents communicate using a proprietary protocol called Isengard. If you need to run agents in a secure zone, such as a DMZ, you can also have the agent communicate via HTTP tunneling. Details are available on the documentation.
