    Hello, 

    My customer is asking is possible to integrate CA APM with other 3rd party tools for sending message or notification when there is warning or an issue . For example Ca integrated with Microsoft teams .

    Any ideas?

    The built-in alerts allow you to send an SMTP /SNMP alert which can go to a third-party tool. What else is needed?

    Hello Hallet,

    They are aware about this future, they just want to know, beside this option, if there is any other way to send notification and messages from APM

    As Hal was saying, it depends on the 3rd party app.

     

    If it's a structured message, then SMTP is the right option.

    If it can process a MIB, then use the enhanced SNMP alert notification. OIDs description is available in API documentation section of the wiki.

    If you need SMTP with credentials and SSL or TLS, then request a copy of my enhanced SMTP alert notification extension.
