Is there any way to know all the agents/apm components licensing ? Is there a tool or a script?

    Thanks

There is a metrics available in 10.7 for .NET and JAVA Licenses.

    (.*)\|Custom Metric Process \(Virtual\)\|Custom Metric Agent \(Virtual\) \ Enterprise Manager\|Licensing\|Java Agent Count:Licenseable Count

    (.*)\|Custom Metric Process \(Virtual\)\|Custom Metric Agent \(Virtual\) \ Enterprise Manager\|Licensing\|.NET Agent Count:Licenseable Count

I think you have  to collect .NET agent information manually because  in my environment .NET agent count is showing zero

    Also

For ,NET license you can create Metric grouping

    (.*)\|Custom Metric Process \(Virtual\)\|Custom Metric Agent \(Virtual\) (.*) .... .Agents\|(.*)\|\.NET Process\|(.*):ConnectionStatus

After metrics grouping create calculator only for .NET Metrics.

count JAVA and .NET agent to get the information.

The Agent Based License Checker Tool is described in this KB:

    https://comm.support.ca.com/kb/apm-agent-based-license-checker-tool/kb000072402

Based on Junaid Wahab's comments it seems to have been incorporated into 10.7

    Hi Tiago,

I also do not see the Licensing node in my 10.7 SP1 (10.7.0.90) standalone EM environment. I therefore suspect it is not in 10.7 OOTB and Junaid Wahab has the  Agent Based License Checker Tool installed as an extra.

Please install the tool from the above KB https://comm.support.ca.com/kb/apm-agent-based-license-checker-tool/kb000072402 onto your MOM & restart it when that is possible.

I just did so myself and have it working:

    Thanks

Hi, could some one update the link? I'm trying to reach this KB but I always got a 404 error.

    thanks.

We have longed moved away from agent-based licensing. If there's reason why you need to count the live or connected agents in SmartStor, I recommend you open a support ticket for this and ask for the updated script from out internal repo for your needs.

Don't forget, support for 10.7 ends Dec 31, 2023. You will need to upgrade to 10.8 or SaaS by then to continue receiving support.
