  • 1.  If we change the EM(MoM) location, does we have to create dashboard again?

We are changing the EM location. Dashboard has been already created at old location. Does we have to create dashboard again at new location?

    Hi,

Dashboards are part of the management modules, which are in jar files in the /config/modules folder of your MOM, so moving dashboards is theoretically as easy as moving the jar files to the new MOM.

You should ideally preserve the folder structure of /config/modules in your new MOM,

Particularly if you have management modules in custom domains, you should be sure to copy the domains.xml file to the new MOM as well (as part of generally moving configuration to the new MOM)

    Many thanks,

    David

LIke DavidLewis mentioned above, as long as you preserve <EM_HOME>/config/modules directory, you should be good to go. Just copy that "modules" directory to your new EM/MoM and you should be good to go. But I would advise you that you make a backup of the existing "modules" directory that is on the new EM/MoM already before you replace it with the one you are going to copy from the old EM/MoM.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
