Connection Status is not available under the list.

    Hi guys,

     

    Please to advise on the Connection Status metric, initially, it was make available for selection, but we found out the alert is grey off and cannot see the Connection Status under the Custom Metric Process (Virtual) list.

     

    Metric Browser>>Custom Metric Host (Virtual)>>Custom Metric Process (Virtual)>>Custom Metric Agent (Virtual) (

    [host]@[port number]) (*SuperDomain*)>>Agents>><server-name>>>CA-Agile>>[Server Name]>>ConnectionStatus

    Hello again,

    Yes loss of the Connection Status metric could be symptomatic of the AppServer JVM process hosting the agent going down or for cluster environment it could just mean an agent has been load balanced to a different Collector.

    The link I gave for Best method for implementing a JVM "Offline" check  in your later post CA Introscope Services in Application Servers are not running covers using a Calculator or EPAgent to confirm if definitely down (see attached pdf)
