    Hi Stefan,

By disabled, do you mean you shut down the agent and removed it from the app or did you turn off the agent in the Investigator by right clicking on it and selecting turn off?

    Hi Matt,

Ok so you stopped the agent on the server.

How long has it been since you stopped the agent and the clamp still is showing?

Do you have any other agents that are clamped as well?

Basically that agent metric clamp will show if one or more agents has a clamp.  So if Agent A and Agent B have the clamp, and you stop only Agent A, then the clamp will still show in the apm status console.

Not being able to browse to the metric is expected because by now the agent has been removed from the Investigator due to not being connected anymore.

I let mine run overnight and saw the same thing you did.

Only way I could see to lift the clamp was to have an agent connect back and then either trim the metrics or raise the clamp level.

Basically the clamp won't be lifted until the # of metrics is reduced below the clamp level or the clamp level is raised.

Double check with Product Management on if this is how the design is.  I believe it is but get confirmation.

    Thanks,

    Matt
