"tim dead but subsys locked" message

After I stop my tim service in the linux box I check the status by running the following command.....

 

[root@************005 logs]# service tim status
tim dead but subsys locked

 

How do I clear this output. I know there is a way but have forgotten. There is some lock file or something that needs to be removed/deleted.

 

Any/all help will be greatly appreciated

rm -fv /var/lock/subsys/tim

service tim restart
