    Ying:

This is better asked internally so marking it assumed answered. You have two products seeming to do the same thing.

What sort of integration are they expecting?

    - CEM Reports/Defect data into Aternity

    - Aternity data into CEM

    - CEM data into Aternity via SNMP?

    Thanks

    Hi Hal,

    Thank you for the suggestion.

The customer has refered this Article:

CA Technologies and Aternity® Partner for Desktop End User Experience Management - Aternity

They are expecting CEM defects data to Aternity, and asking if the CEM data possible to capture via SNMP?

    Thanks

It's worth mentioning to the customer that the solution is meant to pull Aternity data INTO APM, not send APM data to Aternity.

We may have a fieldpack that may be of use. I'll have to look through my archives to see what is involved.

    Hi Hiko,

Thank you for taking a look on this.

As discussed with Lynn, we thought that the customer might can leverage theSNMP Adapter, which enables Introscope to report metrics to external SNMP frameworks, and enables Introscope users

to collect metric data and report it to an external SNMP Manager, where it can be viewed using the SNMP Manager Console.

Please find the details from the guide:

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-apm/10-1/en/administrating/configure-the-workstation/extensions/snmp-adapter

However, the SNMP Adapter is a function in Introscope Enterprise Manager, not CEM. So, only CEM defects can be processed via SNMP, no Incidents, as the intergration CEM defects are in Introscope Enterprise Manager but not incidents.

    Welcome to any comment/discussion.

    Best Regards
    Ying

Just an initial look appears that the Aternity FieldPack is incomplete.

We could probably do something similar with CEM incidents as to what I did with defects notifications in my FieldPack.

    Hi Ying:

    >So, only CEM defects can be processed via SNMP, no Incidents, as the intergration CEM defects are in Introscope Enterprise Manager but not incidents.

The "all but retired" evidence collections can be used to perform actions on Incidents via SNMP. This was done for Spectrum integration. So I know it is possible but someone would have to modify the old PS scripts in addition to anything Hiko producers in his coding laboratory ;-)

    Thanks

I'm sending you an email to look at an older integration fieldpack.

    Hi Hiko and Hal,

Thank you both for your advice.

Regarding the integration fieldpack scripts specified for APM/Aternity Integration, I have suggest to the customer to contact the CA Account Manager to get supported version from Global Delivery.
