  • 1.  Can Introscope reads along the server logs?

    Posted Aug 12, 2015 04:25 PM

    Hi All,

Just want to know if Introscope agent can also read server logs?

say for example there is log that encounter a "Internal Server Error"

when the application reads that, it will send out an email to the team supporting that server.

Is this possible to Introscope? or in the latest version of Introscope.

    Thanks,

    Arwin

    Hi Arwin,

You can achieve that using the EPAgent. Here are some existing threads I found after searching the Community:

EPAgent 101: Use the SDK to Send Data to APM

EPAgent - apache log reader plugin

EPAgent plugin- get GC states from server log

    Hope this helps

    Thanks for your reply Lynn.

By the way is this only for APACHE Logs?

    how about IIS Logs?

    Websphere Logs?

DO you have that EPAgent in hand?

    Thanks,

    Arwin

    Hi Arwin,

    Apologies for the delayed reply.

Yes the EPAgent has default LogReader plugins for IIS & WebSphere - see the APM wiki for more details: EPAgent Default Plug-ins

You can download/install the EPAgent per: Install the EPAgent

    Hope this helps
