    Hi:

I found this in an older case and still seems to apply

From a workstation, open the Management Module Editor, under the

Supportability Management Module, you will see "Report Templates". If you

expand the templates you will find a "License Report" option, which will

    generate a License Compliance Report.

    Thanks

    Hal German

Just FYI: the report will only work with Java agents where the aggregate CPU metrics are enabled.

If you have disabled them, consider using my CPU Counter for Java FieldPack, then modify the report template to use the new metric that is generated by the FP.

The old template report was based upon gather the number of cores that were reporting at a given time. Typically, we'd ask customers to run this for one year and give us the total count of cores.

Newer licenses are based upon agent counts, so this report is no longer valid. You will need to check with your procurement team to be sure which licensing plan you're on.

As for that report, it only works properly when the aggregate CPU metrics are enabled. It's really the only thing they're useful for. Never use them to monitor performance because they report JVM and non-JVM utilization.

If you want to monitor CPU, use the ‘% utilization (process)' metric. To continue to get those core counts, you can use my Java agent extension "CPU Counter” to give you that value.

we can also fetch total connected agent. explore metric groupings and you will get it.

Metric grouping Agent expression :.*\|Custom Metric Process \(Virtual\)\|.*\(Virtual\).(.*)

Metric Expression :  Enterprise Manager\|Connections:Number of Agents

please create a calculator (Sum). and you will get exact number of connected agents.

    thanks
