string metrics in smartstor?

Hi,

 

are the string metrics stored in SmartStore as well please?

 

i connected to it via JDBC, can search and find any numeric metrics like "Average Response Time" or any other 5 basic metrics, but cant find a metrics stored in string like "IP address".

 

any idea please?

Hi Stefan,

 

The answer to your question is no. SmartStor does not store String “metrics”, they’re only available in “Live” mode when the Agent is connected and sending data.

i thought so. and so, do you have please any idea how to export an agentlist with IP addresses (i tried it some time ago via reports, but couldnt manage to get it).

Hi Stefan,

 

I just tried this on an EM and it does return the Strings for “Java Version”, so if you adapt it to your metric path, it should work just fine:

 

java -Duser=Admin -Dhost=HOSTNAME-Dport=5001 -jar CLWorkstation.jar get historical data from agents matching "." and metrics matching ".Version.*" for past 1 minute
