  • 1.  Perform minor update to PostgreSQL

    Posted Oct 09, 2014 06:21 AM

The current version of the PostgreSQL database server that comes with my APM 9.6 is v9.2.4.

Am I able to update the database server to the latest minor version of v9.2.9?  (According to PostgreSQL, performing a minor update should be relatively simple and safe.)

V9.2.4 comes with a list of CVEs that my organization wants to resolve.

    Thanks,

    Robin

Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible nor certified.

    Hi Robin,

This would not be supported as it has not been certified.  That means it has to go through a Development and QA effort and be signed off indicating that Introscope and CEM work with the new version.  If you do update it, we do not know what issues lie ahead and could cause a lot of headaches.

However you can open an issue with Support to have a CGR created, but I do not know where this will fall in Product Management's scope, so it may not be immediate.

    Regards,
    Matt
