  • 1.  DevTest console sort method

    Happy Monday everybody!

Any particular reason the console is using lexical sort instead of numerical?

I use it to keep track of ports being used (vse.log) as my developers do not necessarily let me know.

So, I choose "sort ascending" in the "Resource/Type" column and get a lexical rather than numeric order.

This is not exactly what I expect or would desire to see -- i.e. port 19005 displays before 7004.

That is a fairly useless (for my purposes, anyway) method, unless there is particular or good reason for it.

What is the logic behind this? and if there is none and the 'default' was picked (yes, less processing)

What specifically I am encountering is:

    1

    10

    2

    20

    rather than

    1

    2

    10

    20

    ...

    and it's **** annoying! :-)

I am hoping this was overlooked and it will be fixed as it is a pretty easy fix.
