    hello,

    I have an issue when I build SV (v 9.1) images:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    * What went wrong:
    Execution failed for task ':dockerimages/devtest-jre:dockerImage'.
    > Docker execution failed
      Command line [docker tag -f devtest/devtest-jre:9.1.0.399 devtest/devtest-jre:latest] returned:
      unknown shorthand flag: 'f' in -f
      See 'docker tag --help'.

    * Try:
    Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.

    * Exception is:
    org.gradle.api.tasks.TaskExecutionException: Execution failed for task ':dockerimages/devtest-jre:dockerImage'.

    Yes Docker has deprecated that option. What docker version are you using? Can you confirm please?

    Version 1.12.3 build 6b644ec

    Ok thanks. Will get back to you as soon as I have more info for you but for sure this is more on the Docker side - deprecating that flag.

    Btw - I've not faced this issue on any of the earlier docker versions for any of the 8.x or 9.x DevTest builds.

    -f flag on docker tag is Deprecated In Release: v1.10.0
    Removed In Release: v1.12.0

    https://docs.docker.com/engine/deprecated/

    “To make tagging consistent across the various docker commands, the -f flag on the docker tag command is deprecated.

    It is not longer necessary to specify -f to move a tag from one image to another.
    Nor will docker generate an error if the -f flag is missing and the specified tag is already in use.”

    Resolution:
    ****************************************
    Modify the file buildSrc/src/main/groovy/com/ca/devtest/docker/NativeDockerClientEx.groovy

    line 22

    def cmdLine = "${binary} tag -f ${tag} ${newTag}"

    to remove the -f

    I am researching how we can improve our CA Service Virtualization (DevTest's) Docker implementation and would love your feedback so that we can understand your needs.  I started a discussion thread entitled Feedback on How to Improve SV's Docker Solution.

    In this post, I have requested your help to take a 5 minute survey in order to gather your feedback.

    Thank you for your help!
