  • 1.  What do you think about the new release notes?

    The format of the release notes has changed in release 9.0 of DevTest Solutions. The doc team (of which I'm a member) made the changes as part of an effort to standardize the look and feel of release notes across multiple products.

    If you have any thoughts about the new format, please add a comment to this post. Our analytics indicate that the release notes are among the most highly viewed pages, so we want to make sure you find them easy to use.

    I hadn't realised there was a different format! Looks promising.

     

    I clicked on "Application Test; CVS Dashboard; Monitor with CVS", because I was interested in what can have changed in v9.0.

    It tries to link me to the page:

    https://wiki.ca.com/display/LISA/.Monitor+with+CVS+%28Continuous+Validation+Service%29+v8.5

    so it looks like the link is to a DevTest v8.5 version of the page. However, it then redirects me to this message:

    You do not have permission to view this page. Request access below, you will receive an email when you've been granted access.

    Is this intended behaviour?

    Thanks for the comment. It looks like you found some bad links. We will fix them.

    I actually liked the older way because I could search for any of the release notes on one single page rather than having to click (multiple times) on separate links for every component/section.

    Based on the above feedback, we updated the structure of the release notes in 9.1:

    The initial five pages in the 9.0 version have been reduced to two pages in 9.1. This change should reduce the number of times you have to go from one page to another.
