Main difference between Stage a test and Stage a Quick test?

Hi Team,

 

Can any body tell me main difference between Stage a test and Stage a Quick test?

I know Stage a Quick test does not require a Staging document. Please confirm me my understanding and also let me know the remaining differences.

Stage a Test Case provides you with the ability to select the following options -

 

• a specific configuration file 
• as well as a staging document. 

These 2 options do not apply to the Stage a Quick Test though in this case internally a simple basic staging doc is used as well as the default configuration file. Hence the name Quick!

Hello Mel,

 

I want to clear some thing as mentioned below:

 

1. Is both(stage a test case and quick test stage) doing the same work?

2. What ever stats we are getting in Test Monitor around steps created, is that accurate?

3. I run one quick stage and it stopped automatically without any error but expect count in stat was not there corresponding to Event Step Started field. What can be reason for that?

 

Please note: I am running test cases created for messages injection in MQs. Please reply asap as project team is blaming Lisa for this
