    Posted Jul 29, 2020 11:02 AM

    Hi Team,

I installed TDM Portal and when I try to access any of the features there are some errors.

For example if I navigate to Modeling >> Environments I am getting the error as

"Could not perform the action because of an internal server problem. Refer to logs for more information. The server replied: Server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details"

Same case with rest of the services like Data Modeling, PII Audit

Please kindly look into the issue.

    Regards,
    Ajay.

    Hi,

Can you check the portal logs for errors I would start with the startup.log.  Also this looks like a possible issue with the orientdb can you check that the orientdb windows service is running.

Below is a KB article on how to enable debug logging if needed.
It also provides the location of the logs.

    Hi,

The issue is with the Portal logging into OrientDB I can see the following credential issue which is preventing the portal from creating the orientDB databases.

    "2020-07-31 07:22:26.341 UTC [ERROR] [localhost-startStop-3 ] --- [U:][M:][P:] c.c.t.d.DataReservationJobLoader: Exception caught while loading Data Reservation Job
com.orientechnologies.orient.core.exception.OSecurityAccessException: Wrong user/password to [connect] to the remote OrientDB Server instance"

Can you confirm that the password in the portal application.properties matches the credentials you entered when installing TDM Portal.

    Hi Keith,

I used the same password of gtrep (sqldatabase) for Orient DB as well while installing the TDM portal. I cannot compare the password in portal application.properties as it is encrypted.

    Thanks

    Sorted it out Keith,

I tried installing TDM portal again, this time I gave plane text (all small letters) for Orient DB and that solved the issue. Earlier password which I was using has special characters like forward and back slashes, that might caused the trouble.

Anyways thanks for your time in investigating the issue.

    Have a nice day!

My rating for the support : 5/5

    Hi,

Thanks for letting me know that the issue is resolved, I will run some internal tests using complex passwords with orientDB and raised an internal defect if required.  Could you confirm what special characters you used was it just forward and back slash?
