I am referencing documentation here Create an Advanced File Layout (AFL) with File Definition Manager
to work with mainframe files. I have copybook with multipel record types, and I can define the conditions for each record type ok.
But for of the layouts, I need to define multiple conditions to identify the record type.
The FileDefinitionManger UI only allows me to create 4 conditions. I need 6.
I could not see any way to re-size or enlarge the group box for adding conditions.
My workaround :
1. Add the 4 conditions in the UI, and generate the output files as normal.
2. Then I can manually edit the generated file, xxx_ZOS.AFL.DM.txt , find the section that needs 6 conditions, and add the lines.
3. This file seems to be OK to use for next purposes, like upload to mainframe and use as needed.
I would prefer the UI to be robust enough to support adding more conditions.
Am I missing something in the UI, or is this just a limitation, and if yes when would it be fixed?
The FileDefinitionManager I am using says it is version 5.5.2
