  • 1.  Can users submit files through TDM Portal?

    Hi,

     

    Is there a way, native or with a workaround, that a user can upload a file through the Portal?

    We would ideally like to trigger a Javelin workflow to read through a user-submitted text, CSV or Excel file.

    Hi Xavier,

     

    Have you looked at the Javelin examples?  Visual Flow Examples

     

    In the examples that are attached, there is a ReadFileContent.vwf. This should provide you an example.

    Thanks for providing the Javelin workflow. As the workflow is looking for a file path on the server on which it is installed, I'm wondering if it is possible for the user to submit a file through the Portal?

    As far as I know this is not possible and no good WA. You can ask the users to place the file in a shared drive and  have them enter the file path in the portal and use Javelin to access the file.

     

    But I think this could nice enhancement. Basically what we are looking is to have a variable type "File" which should open up the file explorer to Browse and Import. I think you can open up an Idea.
