  • 1.  Way to encrypt password for Javelin SFTP?

    Posted Sep 19, 2018 10:42 AM

    Hi,

I need to use the Javelin STFP upload functionality with Javelin. I've noticed that even though I write the password in the password box, the password still appears in clear in the workflow and inside the ..vwf file.

I also tried using a variable, but this is also stored in clear text in the .vwf file and easily identifiable.

Is there a better way to hide the password?

    Thank you

In the example below, I typed in mypassword into the box where it is hidden, but it appears after in the workflow box in clear text.

    Xavier,

Off the top of my head, I believe that we have this corrected in more current versions of Javelin.

    What version are you running?

    Regards,

    Sean

I believe that lines up with TDM 4.4.

This was fixed in the 4.5 timeframe with a patch if I recall correctly. I'll double check if this was included in TDM 4.6 - if so and you are in fact running TDM 4.4, it's a straightforward upgrade to 4.6.

Stay tuned while I can confirm the fix version(s).
