Hi group. Here some questions related to CA Harvest Birt Reports:

    2. it is possible to call Stored procedures?

    3. Is possible to call SQL Functions?

    Thanks for your help.

    Best Regards,

    JOHN

    Hi John,,

First question is regarding the possibility of using filter parameters.

Yes, definitely filters can be used to sort the data as required by you.
For ex: Using where or any other filter supporting sql queries to fetch the data as per your requirements

Sample queries can be found in the below attached PDF

    Questions 2 and 3:
2.It is not possible to call stored procedures and sql functions from the reports.

The query used in the reports needs to begin with select statement.Otherwise it throws up an error mentioning "HSQL query must begin with SELECT".

More specific  details on custom reports can be found from here (link to docops content  of CA SCM Harvest documentation)

Please do let us know if this answers your questions.

    Regards,

    Balakrishna.

    Thank you Balakrishna.

Then I have the doubt that it is a limitation of BIRT in Harvest, because based on what I know of BIRT  in fact it is possible to call stored procedures using for example "SELECT * FROM {call TestProc(?)}"

What could be an alternative in order to more complex reports requirements?

    Best Regards,

    JOHN

    For example:

    - Number of package that have more than N shared items (Customer consider any item reserved more than 2 times a shared item.)

    - Package details for packages that Passed through a lifecycle state in a specific date range (admin should be able to define this date range as input data to the report)

    Thanks for your suggestions.
