  • 1.  CA Harvest cleaning Database

    Does anyone have ideas about how to archive or remove closed projects from the CA Harvest Database?

    Our Harvest Database is 1,5 Tb in size and we want to decrease it.

    Also we want to have the possibility to import projects from archive.

    Has anyone have do's and don'ts for us?

    I would suggest:

     

    • Create a completely new implementation of Harvest,
    • Identify your active projects in your current installation, and
    • Use the Project Move tool to only migrate your active Projects from the current installation to the new installation.

     

    You will then be left with an Archive installation and a new, clean installation.
