The CLI "best practices" page states we can use "scripts\encrypt_password" to encrypt passwords for executing CLI commands.
Has anyone tested this with 5.5.2? It's not working for me....
hm...not for executing CLI commands. we only used it to encrypt the password for our ldap settings and this worked
And apparently, the CLI (and i'm assuming, SOAP API as well) doesn't support encrypted passwords.....somehow, my memory must be failing, because i remember this being an issue before......
I will submit an idea to get this changed!
