  • 1.  Do you use the Control/Delay Action?

    Posted Jan 06, 2016 10:54 AM

(I tried to create this as a poll, but the feature is unavailable within this space for me, and when I tried to create it from the top level content, this place is un-available, either a bug or privileges issue)

    Anyway...

In the workflows I'm supporting, there are Delay actions throughout the entire workflow, literally in between almost every other substantive action.

I'm trying to get a feeling from other developers if this is common.

From my pov, this seems like needless clutter, in fact, in many cases, the original developer has chained together 3 consecutive Delay actions.

    Thanks as always!

    Cheers

I only use delays when i need them.  If your workflows are littered with delays, then I would have to look into the reasons why.....

same here, we're only using a delay when it is really necessary. most of the time we need it, when handling windows services.

another scenario where we use it, is just in loops, when waiting for something.
