Company and Company class

I always get the instructions to set-up Company and company class in ca ppm docs, but not the Definition of these

Someone please provide what is this Company(home tab side) and Company class( under administration tab set-up).

You can create company profiles to associate with investments when integrating with third-party billing systems so you can classify the data.
Company Classes:
Describe clients or companies within the organization such as internal customers and external customers.
Defines the company class to which this company is assigned. The value is used to describe the company within the organization.
