Anyone using the Top-Down Estimating feature in Clarity PPM?
- Interested in hearing about how well this is going, pros/cons, etc.
Has anyone heard if this feature will carried over into New UX?
- On 15.2 - don't see it New UX, there; our 15.6.1 environment should be available, soon.
If not using the top-down estimating feature, how are you answering requests such as:
- In acquisition stage of project, we need speed, not details (1-10 tasks)
- Then, when we win the business, we want to add the details (hundreds of tasks) and cascade the estimates from the few to the many
BTW: When dragging finish dates in Clarity Gantt, I do not see a way to grow or shrink ETC, as one can do in MSProject, where when one has Fixed Units set, dragging a finish data back and forth lowers/raises ETC in addition to change the finish date. I see in 15.5 notes that there is a way to set "MS Project Task Type" in Clarity. When set to 0 (fixed units), does dragging the finish date in Clarity Gantt behave the same way as in MSP (both finish date and ETC change)?
