    Hello All!

In setting up some fiscal time periods I have encountered two different errors when attempting to rename periods.
I've set monthly periods in line with our financial year (Aug - July). When attempting to rename the period '01-Oct-202-31-Oct-2021' to 'Oct 2021' (in keeping with nomenclature for prior periods) I get the error "An exception occurred while trying to update an object instance fiscaltimeperiod"(as in image below)
    Error message
That error is not helpful to me in attempting to pin down the issue - any ideas?

When attempting to rename the period '01-Mar-2024-31-Mar-2024' to 'Mar 2024' I get another different error "New periods must not create a gap with the existing periods" (as in image below).
    Gap with existing periods error

As far as I can see, there are no gaps in the periods I've created.

Can anyone provide advice? We're  on v.15.5.1
I've had a prior support call with Broadcom to ascertain the problem but without success.

    Thanks in advance

    Lisa

    Hi Lisa,
    See if this works:

    1. Go to the fiscal period grid
    2. Go to specific fiscal period
    3. Click on translate icon.
    4. User can see the labels in all supported language. User can choose to update the label in one or multiple languages and save.
    5. User will now see updated label (based on user's language) in grid.

    Hi Lisa
    Administration > Finance > Setup > Entities
Edit your entity > Fiscal Time Periods tab
Use the translation icon to modify the names
