It will affect all reports and portlets which contain or sort/filter by employment type.(you will have 1 more contractor and 1 less employee or vice versa) , if the resource was an employee and returned as a contractor or vice versa, there is no historical record of the previous type, the "new" type will be all you will ever see. If your company changes the user name when the resource changes employment types you can retire the old resource and create a new resource. However if this was a "goof", just change the type and everything will be fixed. :) You can change the attribute it's easy just choose the one you want and click save

Subject: Use of Resource Employment Type attribute in Staff Member Properties
Hi All,
The Resource Employment Type attribute that you see is under Team object(project --> Team --> Staff --> Staff Member Properties), could you please let me know the use of that attribute in the PPM and is there any effect on the Reports or Portlets with this attribute if I change the employment type from employee to contractor?
