  • 1.  Large String Attribute Character Limit?

    Posted May 07, 2019 04:45 AM

We are potentially looking at using the 'Large String' attribute data type for a Project sub page. I have tried looking in documentation and cannot find the answer i am looking for, and was wondering if anyone knew. What is the maximum character limit for this data type?

Also, i found this documentation regarding a limitation with the Large string attribute in the DWH. Does anyone know whether this is still the case?

    Hi Kurt,

The limitation for the DWH is still there.

There have not been any changes done on the mentioned CLRT, as that is a limitation by the design.

You can find this limitation still documented on the 15.6 release:

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-ppm/15-6/en/advanced-reporting-with-jaspersoft/pmo-accelerator-advanced-reporting-content/pmo-accelerator-advanced-reporting-setup

As per the max size, the data type for the large string int he PPM db is CLOB(4000)

    Thanks,

    Raúl
