    Has anyone come across a schedlink error shown below?

    By looking to the error message, I am inclined to think you are having an issue with the MSP integration.

    What were the actions being taken at the time of the error?

    The user was opening a project from CA PPM into MSP.

    What version of CA PPM and MSP is being used? Is this the only project that is giving the error?

    Currently CA PPM 14.2 (about to upgrade) and MSP 2010.  It is not the only project giving the error.

    Hi Art, 

     

    If the user has the new XML driver for 14.2 installed, he might be running into the issue described on TEC1985546.

     

    Can you try having the MSP Interface (and all of its components) reinstalled directly under the C drive for this user?

    So we tried everything and ended up doing an uninstall of the connector apps and then started going through a new installation of the interface only to run into an error titled SilentInstallAddin has stopped working.

    You can select the option to 'Close the Program' on the error message and proceed with the installation. There was a defect logged for this message coming up during the installation, but it can be ignored. 

     

    Please reference TEC1170126 for more details on this defect.

    We tried that as well with the result of the CA Clarity Integration not appearing on the ribbon.  We do see it listed in the COM Add-Ins, but it is unloaded.  Would a solution be to install the older interface in lieu of XML?

    If you are about to upgrade from v14.2 to a newer release, I would recommend that you consider using the legacy driver temporarily and once you are in a supported release, open a new Support case to review. This issue might as well be fixed once you upgrade.

     

    Remember that best practice is to be on the latest GA release (currently 15.2) and install the latest available patch. Download the integration after the patch has been applied the integration gets some fixes too.

     

    Lastly, make sure to carefully review compatibilities list when you upgrade (e.g.: How do Microsoft Project monthly patches impact CA PPM? ). MSP 2010 is not supported on 14.4 or higher and MSP patch level is important.
