Issue with Allocate from estimate

Hi all,

 

I had an issue with resource allocation when I click on allocate from estimate button. A resource ETC is 10hrs, and when I click the allocate from estimate button, I get the allocation for the resource as 16 hours. Could anyone confirm me on it's working? Or is that the resource default availability is 8 hrs and since the ETC is 10 hrs, does this takes count of 16 hrs (making it 2 days) for the resource. Also, this doesn't change happen if it's on roles. This deviation is happening only with the resource.

 

Any help on this would be of great help.

Ideally "Allocate from Estimate" will only update Allocations in Team and not Actuals. 

You could refer to the below Tec Doc on how the calculations are done:
