OBS unit unavailable to Team Object

I want to display an OBS unit to Resource Planning > Allocation dashboard. When I tried with it, I see OBS unit is not associated with the team object to include it in Allocation dashboard. The Team object is not open to OBS unit to be added to Associated object. I also looked for a workaround, like creating a virtual attribute of OBS in Team object. But here also I don't get to see that OBS attribute. Any idea on how to add it or any other feasible workaround?

I observed what you are referring to.  I did see that STAFF OBS is available in those portlets.  Resources are aligned to STAFF OBS by first aligning their ROLES with a "Booking OBS".  Booking OBS is a tab that is visible when you open a Resource  from the Resource/Role List page.   Then, when you add a Resource to a project team, you can see Staff OBS as a Team member property. 

This may be more hassle than you would want to deal with, but it is one out-of-box method you might try.
