Jaspersoft server cumulative patch upgrade (6.1.0)

Hi All,

 

Did anyone apply the latest patch on Jasper server 6.1.0. How it is working.

 

How much time it will take to patch server.

 

Some queries regarding the new patch installation

 

1. Can we unzip the patch file in any location in the server?

2. Do we have to fill 'install.properties' before patch installation or can we do this after the patch installation?

3. What is this means: you want to make the current instance a report scheduler instance ?

 

If this patch overwrite all the customization?

Thanks Suman for your quick reply. We have only one server where jaspersoft installed.      "you want to make the current instance a report scheduler instance" Is this point means scheduling of report? Its showing default as false in install.properties of the patch file. Thats make this mess up. I dont want to end up in any issues like scheduling of the report is not working.                                                           Thanks,                                                                 Agin

Hi Agin,

 

That configuration is for clustered Jaspersoft where you would want to have multiple Jaspersoft app server and want one server dedicated to run the jobs. Just like we configure BG services in PPM to run the Jobs. 

 

Hope this clarifies, if you have just one server you don't need to configure this .
