    Hi everyone

    We are working with CLARITY and BOXI, and need integration to get reports.

    I followed the steps as the manual says,

    https://support.ca.com/phpdocs/0/common/impcd/r11/CABI/CABI_N_Implementation_Guide.pdf

    but does not work, when I run the command:

    BIConfig -h "BOXI" -u "Administrator" –p "G3tr0n1cs" -n "6400" -f "C:\biconfig\xml_biar_import.xml"

    It shows me the following errors:

    [   100] 2015-09-24 11:47:34,897 [main] INFO  ReportingDeployUtility - Connecting to the BusinessObjects system. host: BOXI, user:Administrator, security: secEnterprise

    [  2223] 2015-09-24 11:47:37,020 [main] INFO  ReportingDeployUtility - Reporting utility program terminated and return code = 16019

    features of file .biar.

    <?xml version="1.0"?>

    <biconfig version="1.0">

      <!-- Import BIAR file -->

      <step priority="1">

        <add>

        <biar-file name="C:\BIConfig\CA_Clarity_Universes_MSSQL.biar">

    Hi Marco,

    We don't typically use BIConfig to deploy Clarity reports, this is mostly used for Service Desk and other products. Their communities may have more insight on this feature.
    This said, did you check if you are able to run BO reports from Clarity, did you follow the steps to create a Trusted Key?

    If yes, please see if you can run the BIConfig with the help of the following Tech Tip:
    https://communities.ca.com/docs/DOC-231150643

    Hope this helps

    Hi NIKA HADZHIKIDI,

    I installed again BOXI as mentioned in the manual, but the error persists.

    perform the workaround that is mentioned the following link.

    https://communities.ca.com/docs/DOC-231150643

    but still not responding. the error is similar

    [   100] 2015-09-24 11:47:34,897 [main] INFO  ReportingDeployUtility - Connecting to the BusinessObjects system. host: BOXI, user:Administrator, security: secEnterprise

    [  2223] 2015-09-24 11:47:37,020 [main] INFO  ReportingDeployUtility - Reporting utility program terminated and return code = 16019

    a workaround existing for error that show when I want import the file .biar.

    Marco Velazquez.

    Hi Marco,

    Does Clarity connect to BO and run reports correctly? Did you follow the steps to create a Trusted Key as per our Installation Guide?

    Have you also tried importing by using the BO Import Wizard, did this work fine?

    Kind Regards

    Hi Marco,

    Okay so now the universe is imported. To check what's the reason for your issue on the screen:

    1. What is the exact CABI version you have installed, check it is the right version for your Clarity. You can check this in the biek file under {InstallDrive}\Program Files\CA\SC\CommonReporting or going to the registry. For more info, check TEC586523

    2. Please do the following:

    a. Go to CSA – Server - Reporting
    b. Reenter the administrator's password to be sure it's the correct one. You can see it in the properties.xml if not encrypted.
    c. Ensure the Trusted Authentication Shared Key is the same one that has been entered in Business Objects Central Management Console (CMC).
    d. Save
    e. Open the Business Objects Central Management Console (CMC) - Authentication - Enterprise
    f. Make sure the Shared secret is the same one as the Trusted Authentication Shared Key entered in CSA. Reenter it. Save
    g. After your changes, please restart Clarity and BO Services
    h. Ensure all Business Objects services are up and running.
    i. Run Create BO Users job
    j. Test

    Please let me know how it goes.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Marco,

    Thanks for your update. We may have to work on being able to connect to CMC.

    Let's work on your environment together : please could you raise a Support ticket referencing this communities post, and give me the issue number?

    Kind Regards
