Access Rights to restrict editing Gantt chart and baseline

Hi!

We are trying to restrict permissions, for a specific group, to edit the Gantt chart and to create/edit a baseline, but we can't find any access rights which controls that two topics.

Does someone know a way to do that if its possible?

Read the following technical article related to project baseline security access rights:

For minimum, restricted rights to access a specific project to view the Tasks page and the Gantt Chart, the user can be a participant on the project and have the 'Project - View Tasks' access right for the specific project.

We still need this rights scheme for projects:

Profile 1: can edit project properties fields + Gantt + Tasks attributes.

Profile 2: can edit project properties fields + Task attributes (ideally only "% complete" attribute).

Profile 3: can edit project properties fields.

 

Do you know a way to restrict users to edit the Gantt chart of the projects?

There is a Project - Edit Assigned Tasks for participants on the project

However, if there is someone that needs to edit all tasks, the 'Project - Edit Management' will allow for editing of all tasks on the project, but also allows edit rights to other parts of the project.

If you want to have the ability to edit all tasks on a project apart from 'edit management' rights, this would be an idea you can post on the Idea Wall.

As we see, the rights to edit subpages implicity gives the right for editing the Gantt Chart and Task attributes.

In conclution we can't set a profile which only has rights to edit subpages as far as we understand.

If you secure the subpages, then you can grant edit rights specifically to those subpages, without using the "Project - Edit Management" security. The rights created when you secure a subpage are View and Edit at the Global, OBS, or Instance level.
