  • 1.  Adding tasks in Open Workbench (OWB) and auto-numbering in Clarity

    Clarity v13.3 & OWB.

A client uses OWB for managing projects. OWB does not require a TASK_ID, so it is left blank. We defined auto-numbering of Tasks in Clarity. When saving the OWB document and when it goes back to Clarity, no Auto-numbering is done which causes the TaskID to be blank and is a problem for our customer.

Is there any way to make Auto-Numbering work in Clarity when creating tasks in OWB and saving the Project back in Clarity?

    Thank you,

    Hello Anthony,

This has been an enhancement request for quite some time now but not implemented yet.

Hi has this enhancement been implemented yet?  We currently have MS Project tasks that we save to a project in CA PPM v 14.3 and the tasks auto-numbering is not generating task IDs for the tasks imported from MS Project.

    Good afternoon,

Any movement on the above defect? We're on version 14.2 so I wonder if it has been fixed by now.

    Thanks,

    Bill

Unfortunately there has been no movements on this area.

If you are interested in this feature being added to OWB, I would highly suggest that you go into the Ideas section to suggest it for Product Management to review and implement this in a future version. Please check first if there is any existing Idea referring to this issue so that votes are not split between Ideas.
